Tools & Materials for Traditional Orisha Practices
Orisha refers to a collection of deities in the Yoruba religion. The spirts were brought through the slave trade to many places in the Caribbean and through out the americas. Today Orisha practice is one of the fastest growing religions in the world. These divine spirits are considered intermediaries between the supreme being and human beings, playing a crucial role in the creation and maintenance of the world. Each Orisha represents a natural force or aspect of life, such as rivers, storms, or fertility, and is venerated for their wisdom, power, and influence over the destiny of humanity.
Orishas are petitioned by the followers to help with lifesaving obstacles and challenges. Or give direct guidance through divination with one of their priests. As a priest of Shango, Andrew brings in the items most needed to practice in a traditional way.
